The Challenge
Businesses throughout Canada needed faster and more affordable sources for legal self-service documents and related advice. Made It Legal wanted to meet this need but required a digital legal document creation platform that would make legal help more widely accessible for entrepreneurs and businesses. With a vision that included a membership program, scalable business growth, and services that would enable businesses to receive legal help from licensed lawyers in their respective Canadian provinces, Made It Legal sought Code Engine Studio’s services to unpack the possibilities.
The Solution
Through a collaborative consultancy phase with the Made It Legal team, we provided business and technical project planning and structure while identifying previously undiscovered potential for their business plan’s scalability and sustainability. This included positioning Made It Legal as the catalyst for Canada’s online legal document creation industry through the design of a platform that can be white-labeled (a type of subcontracting) for the use by other companies and teams. Following the consulting process, we developed a system that not only provided the Made It Legal team with easy tools to create new legal document templates, but enables them to develop future projects independently. The Code Engine Studio team continues to partner with Made It Legal as their platform experiences growth and demands future innovations.
The Results
Made It Legal has become a Canada-based pioneer in providing customers with a paper-free platform for dynamically creating legal documents. Customers can also access a law documents library on a platform where they can save unfinished documents in progress and download documents. And thanks to the Code Engine Studio team’s partnership, the results are saving clients valuable time and resources.
